Stop checking if it's working. Future you is already living it.
Every morning, your phone rings from a year ahead, and it sounds like you.
It's a two-minute call with the you who's already there. 2027 you talks you through the morning and thanks you for getting there. Then you say your sentence together, out loud. Tomorrow it comes up again.
Before we go, tell future you two things.
Your first name, and one line about a normal morning a year from now. Write it like it already happened. You'll see both again on the way.
From October 2026 to October 2027.
Tonight you asked if it's working.
Keep going. A year is closer than it feels.
Somewhere in here, you stop checking.
And one morning, you just live there.
Hey you. It's me. You, in 2027.
You told me, I wake up in a home full of light
. I'm standing in it right now. It's a completely normal morning here. Nobody tells you the dream gets normal. Honestly, that's the best part.
I remember the night you asked if any of it was working. I'm about to call you. Pick up.
We wrote this from the two lines you typed, right here in your browser. Your real calls come from your own recording.
Wednesday, November 4. 7:30 AM.Future you is calling.
Tap Accept for a short sample. It's a generic AI voice from your browser, reading the two lines you typed. Your real calls use your own voice, cloned only with your consent. Next: say it together ↓
Say it together.
Every call ends with your sentence, said out loud. Try it now. Press and hold, and read it out loud as the words light up.
Press and hold with mouse, finger, or the space bar. Release when every word is lit.
If "I am" feels like a stretch right now, you'll switch to "I'm becoming" together.
How it works
Tell us about the life you're calling in
You answer seven short questions out loud. It takes 3 to 5 minutes. Who you are now, who you love, what a normal morning looks like a year from now once it's all true. No script, just talk.
Pick the voice that calls you
You'll hear one sentence twice, once in your own voice and once in a different one. Go with whichever feels right.
Get a test call right away
We call you once while you sign up, so you know the number. Save it as "Future Me."
Pick up each morning for 14 days
At the time you choose, for about two minutes. The you on the line talks from a year out, in present tense, like it already happened. Over there, it did.
Say it together
Every call ends with your sentence, out loud, in your own words. If "I am" feels like a stretch, you'll switch to "I'm becoming" together. Tomorrow it comes back up.
14 mornings. A different ritual every day.
You've probably tried a few of these on your own (369, anyone?). This time someone's on the other end of the line, doing it with you. Your sentence stays the same all 14 days, and every call has a gratitude moment.
- Day 1Nov 4Living in the endThe call comes from the life you described. You pick one small thing to keep close, like a ring or a stone on your nightstand.
- Day 2Nov 55x55, day oneYou say your sentence out loud together for the first time.
- Day 3Nov 6369Three times out loud. You get an answer after the third.
- Day 4Nov 7The 17-second ruleHold one picture of that life for 17 seconds. That's it.
- Day 5Nov 8The water methodThe glass on your nightstand, and one sentence before you drink it.
- Day 6Nov 9Scripting"Finish this: this morning I woke up and..."
- Day 7Nov 105x55, doneFive days, one sentence. You hear what it sounds like from a year out.
- Day 8Nov 1111/11 portal morningThe big one. Your sentence, 11 times, together.
- Day 9Nov 1210-10-10Three things you want, three you're thankful for, three you love.
- Day 10Nov 13Don't get up yetSomeone's saying congratulations. Who is it?
- Day 11Nov 14Gentle revisionOne small moment from yesterday, told the way future you remembers it.
- Day 12Nov 15Act as ifOne thing today, done the way 2027 you would do it.
- Day 13Nov 16Mirror workYou, at the mirror, hearing your own voice say "I'm proud of you." Weird at first. Then it isn't.
- Day 14Nov 17Gratitude, from the endFour little details from life in 2027, and the sentence you started with.
Rough morning? The call skips the ritual and just keeps it gentle. It moves to tomorrow.
Day 3. What a call actually sounds like.
This one's a sample. Yours comes from your own recording, so it sounds like you and knows your people.
Future MeHey, Future Self Call here. It's me, the AI you, a year from now.
Yesterday you said, "I wake up in a home full of light." I'm in it right now. Kitchen window, coffee, Biscuit asleep on my feet. He still does that.
I'm so grateful for Maya this morning. She's the one who told you to put your work out there. Text her a thank-you today. She'll love it.
I remember the morning you almost quit on the studio. You were sure nobody was watching. What did we do?
YouPosted one piece anyway.
Future MeYeah. That. One piece, then the next one. That's how we got here.
It's day three, so we say it three times. Go ahead, I'm with you. I'll answer after the last one.
YouI share my work, and the right people find it. (x3)
Future MeThey found it. Thanks for saying it with me. Talk tomorrow.
Sample only. Maya, Biscuit and the studio are made up for this example.
Your morning call gets through, even on silent.
Your phone's on silent and Sleep Focus is on, so normally nothing gets through. Flip one switch on the Future Me contact, once, and this call does.
On Android, star Future Me, then allow starred contacts in Do Not Disturb. Turn on repeat callers too. If you miss the call, we try once more a little later.
We send you the contact card when you sign up and walk you through it. We can't flip the switch for you (only you can), so we test it together. You put your phone on silent, and we call. And during the pilot, please keep your regular alarm on too.
Built on practices with research behind them
Every part of the call comes from a practice researchers have studied on its own.
Feeling close to your future self changes today's choices
People who met a realistic, older version of themselves chose to set aside more for later.
A conversation with an AI future self lowered anxiety
In an MIT Media Lab study of 344 people, one chat with an AI version of their future self reduced anxiety and made people feel more connected to who they're becoming.
Your own voice hits differently
In an MIT study presented at CHI 2025, people who heard their ideal self speak in their own cloned voice reported the highest confidence and motivation, and called it the most personal format.
Gratitude lifts your mood
A 2025 analysis of 145 studies from 28 countries, and a 2026 study of more than 10,000 people in 34 countries, found that gratitude practices reliably boost positive feelings.
Talking to yourself like a friend helps
When people addressed themselves by name or as "you" instead of "I", they handled stress better and did better under pressure.
Kross et al., Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, 2014
Saying it out loud makes it stick
We remember words we say out loud better than words we only read.
Future Self Call is a daily wellbeing practice, not therapy or medical care. The studies above looked at the practices it's built on, not at Future Self Call itself. Results vary from person to person.

Questions
Isn't this just in my head?
Partly, and honestly, that's okay. Research on "open-label" practices shows rituals can help people feel better even when they know exactly what they are. In randomized trials, people who knowingly took a placebo still reported real improvements. (Kaptchuk et al., PLoS ONE, 2010; Guevarra et al., Nature Communications, 2020)
Is this AI?
Yes. The voice and the conversation are AI, built from your own recording. There's no person on the line. Every call says so at the start, and you'll hear it again anytime you ask.
Will the calls promise me money, a job or a specific person?
No. Future you talks from the life you described, but never promises dates, dollar amounts or a specific person. The calls are there to help you feel it, not to predict it.
Why a year, and not ten?
Because future you should feel close. You can actually picture a year from now, and a lot can change in a year.
Is my voice safe?
We use your voice only to make your own calls. We never share it, sell it, or use it for anyone else. When you cancel, or anytime you ask, we delete your voice copy and your recording.
Will it ring if my phone is on silent?
It can, once you allow it. On iPhone, open the Future Me contact, tap Edit, then Ringtone, and turn on Emergency Bypass. On Android, star Future Me and allow starred contacts in Do Not Disturb. We test it with you during signup. For the pilot, keep your regular alarm on too.
What if I miss a call?
We try once more a little later. If you miss that one too, we'll catch you tomorrow.
How will I know it's Future Me calling?
During signup we call you once from the same number your morning calls come from. Save it as "Future Me" so it doesn't show up as Spam Likely.
Does this page keep what I typed?
Not the journey. The name and the sentence you type on the way stay in this browser tab. We don't send, save or track any of it, and it's gone when you close the tab. The voice on this page is a generic AI voice from your browser, not yours. The only thing we save is the founding list form, and only when you tap Join: your email, plus your first name and state if you add them.
Can I stop?
Anytime. Say "stop" on a call, reply STOP to our text, or email us. We stop calling that day.
Is this therapy?
No. It's a manifestation ritual, not therapy, coaching, or medical, legal or financial advice. If you're going through something heavy, please reach out to someone. In the US you can call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, any time. Anywhere else, please contact your local emergency number or a crisis line near you.
What happens after 14 days?
The calls end and nothing renews. We'll ask how it went. If we keep going, you'll hear from us first.
Be one of the first to pick up.
