Privacy policy
The Name You Carry prepares personal readings from a Hebrew name and a birth date. It’s run by a small business registered in Israel, which also prepares these readings in Hebrew. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean The Name You Carry. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
What you give us when you order
- Your Hebrew name as you typed it, and the Hebrew spelling you chose or asked us to confirm.
- The first name you’d like us to use, and your date of birth.
- The question you write for your answer letter.
- Your email address, so we can send your reading and reply to you.
- An order number, and the payment status PayPal reports back to us. We never see or store your card number or your PayPal login.
- An order number, the payment status Gumroad or PayPal reports back to us, and the email address you used at checkout. We never see or store your card number, your Apple Pay or Google Pay details, or your PayPal login.
What we measure when you visit
- Our own analytics. We store a random visitor number in a first-party cookie called
tnyc_sidfor 90 days. With it we log steps on the page, such as which sections came into view, which questions you opened, and whether a form field was completed, along with your screen size and the ad or link that brought you (its UTM tags). These events don’t contain your email, your question or your full name. - Microsoft Clarity. We use Clarity to see how people use the page. It records clicks, taps, scrolling and mouse movement, builds heatmaps, and can replay a visit as a session recording. We set it to hide what you type into the form fields. Microsoft processes this data under the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
- Meta Pixel and Conversions API. We use Meta’s tools to measure whether our ads work, for example whether a visit from an ad led to an order. Meta may receive technical details such as your browser, Meta’s cookie identifiers (
_fbpand_fbc), the pages you visit and steps such as starting checkout or completing a purchase. We never send Meta your question or your birth date. If we use your email to match an order to an ad, it is sent only as a one-way scrambled code (a hash), never as readable text. When you pay through Gumroad, our server reports the purchase to Meta using the browser details from your visit, then deletes those details.
You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time. You can also manage ad settings in your Facebook or Instagram account.
While you fill in the form, your answers are also kept in your own browser for up to 14 days, so you don’t have to type them again if you come back. They never leave your device until you pay, and they’re cleared once you order.
How we use it
To prepare and deliver your reading, to confirm the spelling of your name, to answer your messages, to refund you if you ask, to understand whether our page and ads work, and to keep the records that accounting and tax rules require.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell, rent or trade your information. We share it only with the services we use to run this site, prepare and deliver readings, and process payments, and only for those purposes. These include Cloudflare (hosting), PayPal (payments), our email provider, Microsoft Clarity and Meta (measurement).These include Cloudflare (hosting), Gumroad and PayPal (payments), our email provider, Microsoft Clarity and Meta (measurement). Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay payments happen on Gumroad’s checkout page, so Gumroad receives your email address, payment details and order number, and handles them under the Gumroad privacy policy.
How long we keep it
We keep your order details as long as we need them to deliver your reading and to handle follow-up questions and refunds. After that we keep only what accounting and tax rules require.
Deleting your information
You can ask us to delete your details at any time. or reply to any email from us. We’ll delete your order details, except records we’re required to keep for accounting.
Age
Our readings are for adults 18 and older. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone younger.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
Terms
- What you’re buying. A personal reading, delivered as a PDF of about 20 pages, prepared from the Hebrew name, birth date and question you give us, and ending with an answer letter to your question. If you don’t know your Hebrew name, it’s prepared from the Hebrew name of the person you were named after, or from your own name written in Hebrew letters, whichever you chose, after we confirm the spelling with you by email.
- Who can order. Adults, 18 and older.
- Price and payment. $49 in US dollars, one time. There is no subscription. Payments are processed by PayPal, and the charge appears on your statement as a PayPal payment. You can pay with a PayPal account or, where PayPal offers it, with a debit or credit card.

You can also pay with PayPal. When you pay through Gumroad, Gumroad is the merchant of record: it charges you on our behalf and sends your receipt, and the charge on your card statement shows Gumroad (it may read GUMRD.COM). Where sales tax applies, Gumroad adds it at checkout. If you pay with PayPal, the charge appears on your statement as a PayPal payment.
- Your details. Please make sure the details you send are right. If your name can be spelled more than one way and we need to check, we’ll email you before we begin. If a detail turns out to be wrong, write to us and we’ll correct your reading at no charge.
- Delivery. By email, as a PDF, within 2 days of your order. If we need to confirm your spelling first, the 2 days start when you reply.
- Personal use. Your reading is written for you. Please don’t resell or republish it.

Refunds
Full refund within 30 days. If your reading doesn’t speak to you, reply to the email it came with, or use the contact form, within 30 days of delivery. We’ll refund the full $49. No forms and no questions.
Not delivered? If your reading hasn’t arrived within 2 days of your order, please check your spam or promotions folder first, then write to us. We’ll send it right away or refund you in full.
Refunds go back through PayPal to the way you paid.Refunds go back the way you paid: through Gumroad if you paid there, or through PayPal. How quickly the money appears depends on your bank or card.
About your reading
A reading is a tool for reflection. It uses reduced gematria (mispar katan), a traditional method of giving each Hebrew letter a value, together with numbers drawn from your birth date. It doesn’t predict the future, and it isn’t medical, psychological, legal, financial or religious advice. Decisions you make remain yours.
